Silkpleat – Return Policies & Procedures:
For returns in case of damaged (during shipping), defective, or incorrectly shipped products
If you wish to return the product, Silkpleat will email you a return address label. Please stick the return label sent to you as we initiate the pickup.
- Once we receive the defective shipment in our store, we process and ship out a new order within 2-3 business days.
- Silkpleat issues a complete refund if the customer doesn't need a replacement product. This refund is contingent upon checking the quality of the returned item.
- Once a product is returned & received in our warehouse, and necessary quality checks are performed, the refund will be credited to your account within 2-3 business days.
In rare cases, customers may falsely assume the product's natural characteristics are defects and may initiate a return. To ensure clarification, Silkpleat provides a few guidelines that can help you assess the situation.
Silkpleat: What is not considered a product defect?
Given the natural variation of silk products in particular and apparel in general, the following aspects are not considered defects of the product:
- All our saree range products at Silkpleat are made of pure and natural fabrics, which are naturally prone to shrinkage and color bleed (especially natural dyes).
- Handloom sarees may have the tiny knots or bumps in threads you often see occur when broken threads are pieced together. Please do not consider it a defect.
- Due to settings made by each individual on their mobile or laptop device, color may vary from device to device. The actual color of the product may vary slightly from the image shown.
Handloom sarees are delicate by nature. They must be treated with extra special care, and hence, dry washing is only recommended.
Silkpleat: What is considered a product defect?
In the same vein, Silkpleat would also like to point out the aspects that can be considered defects, which are as follows:
- A tear, rip, or a tiny hole in the saree or the dress material.
- Incorrect length measurement when compared to the product description stated.
- A missing blouse piece (for saree) or any other additional material that is explicitly mentioned in the product description.
Extremely Important - Return Window & Policy
- A refund will be initiated by Silkpleat only for defective products (in line with our policies).
- In case of returns for a domestic order, i.e., within India, the customer is requested to return the product within three business days of the delivery time. If the customer fails to return the order within the specified time, the return may become void, and a refund may not be initiated.
- Silkpleat only offers a return policy for international customers if the product is determined to be defective according to the above stipulations.
- For returns, Silkpleat arranges for the shipping carrier to pick up the product from your given address and will provide you with tracking information accordingly. We request you to stick the return address label sent to your registered email address.
- The product was returned to us in unused condition with the original tags, labels, invoice, and packaging. Any variation from the original product delivered shall be deemed unfit for refund.
- Once we receive the product back in our store, we shall verify its condition and initiate a refund to the source account within 2-3 business days.
Exchange:
- We regret to inform you that there is no exchange policy for international shipping. There will be no exchange of the product once the shipment is made. However, customers can receive a return if the product is found to be defective in line with the conditions mentioned in this policy.
- For domestic customers within India, in case of an exchange, the customer must return the product within three business days of the delivery. The product must be sent in the same condition as it was at the delivery time. We want to remind the customers that the customers shall bear the shipping costs in case of product exchanges.
